questions after transplant
Hiya. I had mine in January and had to spend an extra 3 days in ITU after the op as my kidneys weren't working properly. They told me it was because they have to handle them during the op and they don't like it much. Thankfully, there have been no more problems since. Just let the docs do their job and I am sure things will settle down for you.
I am now 20 months post transplant and my drug regime has fallen gradually over that time. Steroids usually end about 3 months post op after which you are generally on MFF and, in my case, Tacrolimus. Ever since my op there has been some slight kidney dysfunction that the transplant team are never too alarmed about - so neither am I. Best of luck for continued recovery to you both. Mike
That is correct my husband's Kidneys didn't like the surgery and stopped for a whiel. Never been fully back to normal since but don't cause any problems.
