Off to the Q.E this morning.

I've got an appt with liver consultant this morning. I saw him in September following liver biopsy, diagnosed with fibrosis, fatty liver and type 2 diabetes. When I last saw him I had lost weight as he advised and been abstinent from alcohol for a few months.

Got to face the music today, now heavier again and relapsed with the alcohol. I don't really know how this happened. I'm mad with myself because when I last saw him I felt fantastic and he commented on how far I'd come. Never mind, I will be honest. Got to draw a line under it and move on. I want to feel that good again.

Thanks for listening..

Wishing you luck and strength, we're all here waiting to hear how you get on.

Everyone's journey is different, I told myself that I am Tee Total for the rest of my life and that's it as far as alcohol is concerned. It not been easy and I still feel lonely and an outcast, but is better than the alternative.

You can do it good luck!

Thanks for the comments.

I went knowing what I had to face. I was told if I carry on the way I'm going I am on the road to a heart attack or a stroke. I saw a lovely Doctor who was very polite, easy to talk to but also very blunt and he told me as it is. I got upset and had a cry, the staff there were lovely to me.

So, here goes, I have done 1 day alcohol free! Got to go back to the hospital in 3 mths time.He is also referring me for addiction counselling....so here goes!!

Hi liverlove. Well done getting the help. Sounds like some counselling might be helpful for you, its so tough to do these things on ones own.

Pull up those big girl panties, and off you go, onwards and upwards!
