February Quest: Spring Break

February has flown by but I suppose it always does, being the shortest month of the year. This is just to check in with all you lovely Questers to see how you feel about what you’ve achieved this month.

For me, a combination of weather and travel meant I didn’t achieve the goals I had originally set out to do. There was less running but more walking plus a reasonable number of Nike Training workouts. These last few days I’ve had a cold type bug so the step count is way below normal, but thankfully I’m feeling better now so something I’ve done must have worked 😊 Overall it feels like I've done OK. Of course I could do 'better' but no point beating myself up about it, you work with what you have to deal with.

Next month we are taking a break from the Quest. We want to keep the Quest fresh and fun and even Quests need recovery time. Rather than always having the same people heading it up we are looking for a Guest Questleader for April (and possibly beyond) so if you’re interested please pm me or one of the other Admins. It’s not a huge amount of work and it’s lovely to interact with other people and see their progress. Don't be shy, we don't bite 😁

March is the month when the earth seems to wake from its winter torpor so this should be enough to energise us all to shake up our routines, get out there and enjoy it.

Even though there'll be no March Quest, in the words of the Spencer Davis Group (yeah, I know you’re not old enough to remember lol) Keep on Running!!

Hi Yesletsgo,

Thank you for leading this month's quest, sorry to hear you have been unwell. 💐

I have managed to keep to my goals. Running twice a week, and I have reached that 5k distance again. Still consolidating with a 30 min continuous run, my second one is now run/walk as I up my distance.

I have been practicing YWA most days, and just started one of her 30 days ones again because they are really good.

My walking clocked out at 33k, which is fine. I didn't record every walk we did, saving my battery some days.

Aiming to keep all of this up in March, and celebrating my 65th birthday too.

April will be a busy month for me, with an event near the start of the month and little ones 4th birthday when we get back.

Fantastic progress Bluebirdrunner :)

You've been so consistent and steady just like you planned to. I bet you actually covered more than 50k walking, Garmin counts my steps and according to that I've covered 201km this month so you must have done similar.

Now that the weather is improving it's just so much easier to get out and do things, the winter torpor is wearing off and we are ready to go.
