Went out in the sunshine today and really wanted to run some so set my watch as one minute run one minute walk.I managed this for a couple of kilometres by which time I was hopelessly lost and was walking more than running. I carried on and was enjoying the lovely warm sunshine.
I covered 4.44k in an hour and 5k took 1 hr 7mins, by which time I was still lost and still a way from home. I went on a mixture of paths and woodland trails, I think the wood was where I got lost but it was lovely π.
I dug my phone out my pocket and put the satnav for home. Another kilometre and a bit, during which I contemplated a watch with maps π luckily I wasn't googling them at the same time,
By the time I got home I had covered 6.19k on top of the 1k that I walked as my warm up. I felt fine but was happy to be home.
Run happy or rest well all.

ππ whatever was in your drip, I want some tooo!! Thatβs amazing.. Thatβs excellent and exciting. Rest and recover now & hopefully you can enjoy it again next week. Xxxz
I've been pretty fed up lately, so needed to get out and try and run a bit, it's depressingly slow but I have to be happy that I can run even for a minute π I think as much as anything it's the reduction of steroids that's allowing me to do more
I keep getting lost round here but I have my satnav on phone if I get really concerned and can always find my way home although a lot of the time it's further than I expect, as to sleep, I hope so
Amazing progres for you today Sue, so you got lost in the woods, a bit like Little Red Riding Hood, at least there were no big bad wolves in that forest, πhappy that you got home and revigerated after your walk/run, well done.
Thanks Floss, looking at the map I haven't a clue how I got so far over, but it was good and even though a lot of it was walking after the first couple of kilometres I still ran some π there's no strength in my legs yet so it's slow trotting along which is fine by me as long as I can move x
Running for just short bursts totally works and really does move us on... you did so well and enjoying that feeling, does so much too.
Moving is the thing... I often, especially right now, use really short runs too, e.g. CB and me on a nine minute run or a 555 second run ... some folk reckon they don't count. ..they do... and when you come to the longer runs, you are surprised how much stronger your legs feel!
Iβm really late to reading HU but this is marvellous Sue. Every bit of activity is helping to rebuild your muscles so in time thereβll be no stopping you! Xx
Well done Sue. It wonβt surprise you to know that I identified strongly with the getting lost element. Beautiful photo of the dappled light in the woods. Lovely weather. There are worse places to lose yourself! Xx
This is great news Sue. Really well done. Every single run counts so you are really progressing well. Rest well and look forward to your next run/walk whenever you feel like doing it. ππππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
