Hello Linda. Thank you for organising this. I ran my 10K this morning at 11:30am on a beautiful calm and warm day. No clouds in the Sky. My finish time was 1 hour and 1 minute or 61 minutes. I walked 1 kilometer home to cool down afterwards.
Thank you, Curlygurly2 , for sharing this! I am right behind you 😊
I am running this morning and had been strangely nervous about my slow 90 minute goal (will I meet it? It's pushing me!). Until I saw your post! It is both a relief and an inspiration to see that I am not the only (proud!) slow af runner 😎.
Hi Linda and team. Thank you for getting us all out and making me put a lot more effort into my usual Thursday 10k. I completed the 10k in 1:21:56. I set off at 6:30am so I could get home and showered before WFH. Met lots of lovely dogs on the way, some of which I say hello to every Thursday morning!
Essay 🙃 second: I did it 🥳 I am so super proud of this! It was my first 10K since, well, a while... A bunch of viruses kept sidelining me, including Corona for Christmas. But I am back now 💪 Last week was my first 90 minute run and I was so close to 10K, I decided for this week, I'd try to finish the 10K within the 90 minutes.
To do that, I allowed my heart rate to go a bit higher than I'd like for long runs. At first, I was stressing myself around that - heart rate too high, me too slow, will I make it?! 🙈 Then I realized that this is also my mindful, naked run, so time to focus on surroundings. Birds. Green. My smile appeared on my face and I just ran. 😊
This was also day 25 of the #SiRunStreak24 to raise awareness about running (and movement in general) as a mental health tool. I've been running or walking (almost) every day of May at least 10K (one day, before I redefined my streak like this, I walked 9K). 🥳
The only sadness: I haven't heard back from Sprinters, so I might not get a medal... 😢 Although, tbh, I don't really need it... 🫣

Wow, that's awesome!!! Well done. Target smashed. Don't worry, you won't have missed sprinters yet. You emailed them about overseas postage right? I will be messaging them next week once we have closed the ordering window; I will mention it to them then. If you hear from them first, could you pop a message here or in chat for me.
Well, I did it. Just about, and just in time too. It wasn't pretty but I did enjoy it in a strange way, even though my legs were screaming at me by the end. Time 1:41:23
Thanks for organising linda9389 Loved the eclectic playlist too!
Guess who literally just finished their HU10?!’n I’ll give you a clue-it was me!!! Got absolutely soaked, ran in the dark, fuelled on custard creams. So pleased to get it done!!! I’m going to stretch, shower and order my medal.
Not close fastest but one of the most satisfying to finish. A hard fought 1hr9 minutes.
Thank you so much for organising this. Knowing I was running with everyone else got me over the line today. ❤️❤️❤️
I’m late but I think that I’m 6 hours behind. I completed the Ottawa half marathon today! My 10 mile time was 2:08:04. Thanks so much for adding me to the HU ten mile. Run report to follow.
