After reading around and following a discussion I had about speed variations, I decided to use the short run of the magic plan week 2 to do some intervals.
So I ran 1.5k at 2k per hour faster than my normal snail pace, but I did it in 1 minute blocks.
I had all intentions of doing the full 3k like that but we had a power cut and the treadmill stopped
luckily I didn't hurt myself as the speed dropped off quickly but not abruptly!

Well done for trying something different. Makes you realise you have the ability to run a bit faster if you choose - and interval work is great training.
I went back to Week 1 Run 1 and I speeded up significantly for the run sections and did a slow jog for the walk sections. Garmin loved me 😊
Of course Jeffing is similar and I tried that, too, over 5K. The results were surprisingly good.
That is one very poorly timed power cut! Glad you weren’t hurt.
It sounds like until that happened, you were enjoying your interval run. I really like them too. The Nike Run Club app has some really good ones if you like a guided run. They will have you running at different efforts which is a useful tool to have in your run kit!
Oh goodness me...thank good ness you did not fall or go flying! It does sound as if you were having fun!
Shaking things up, trying new things in our running, often surprises us with the results... hopefully you will be able to try the ideas out again and maybe outdoors!
