Having lots of personal problems with family at the moment nightmare but hey ho running helps to keep me sane. Since my fall over a year ago now and not being able to run continuously since, I have found jeffing invaluable.

My times and speed have got better.

For the last 3 weeks my pb has improved each week, that is until this week.

My daughter in law dropped the bomb shell to my unsuspecting son she had found someone else, and had started the process of putting the house up for sale.

Long story so will not bore anyone.

My jeffing was difficult to do , each time I did my run I got stuck behind buggys and dogs so couldnt seem to move on .

I know just excuses for a poor disappointing run but I still got out there and did it .

I love this site no judgement just friends there when you need them thank you.

So sorry you’ve got all that stress to deal with. It’s not surprising that it affected your run. You could have chosen not to run at all but you still did and that’s a big win.

I would say you have really good reasons why your run was a little slower rather than excuses. You’re being very hard on yourself. What would you tell a friend who’d had a run like you did today? We’re often really tough on ourselves in a way we never would be on anyone else!

Take some rest time and you might look back on that run as one you’re proud that you did despite everything else that was going on for you. Or, in time it will be forgotten because of all the other fantastic runs you’ll have. Hope everything gets resolved as easily as it can be. ❤️

You got out, you ran, that's more than most people did! When our children are going through bad stuff it's impossible to put it out of our minds. Things like the buggies and dogs wouldn't normally get to you like this. We just have to battle on.

I wish I had a magic wand I could wave for you, this is tough. You and your son will get through it, I just wish you didn't have to have this horrible stuff to deal with.

Ahh doggytail, you’re amongst friends and this is indeed the perfect place to rant. However, with everything going on in your life at the moment you deserve huge credit for getting out at all. Well done you, and I hope things work themselves out as painlessly as possible. 🤞🙏🏻

Life has a habit of knocking you down from time to time. We all bear hidden burdens and try to make the best of things. It's not at all surprising that things like our fitness are impacted when we're at our lowest.

Run for you, and pay no heed to the numbers.

Oh it's so difficult when there's things going on. Our children, even when grown, are still a worry sometimes and unlike when they're children, we can't just make things better for them. It's great that you went out running at all! All power to you!

Huge hug and well done on getting out at all.

It is so, so hard when our children are suffering, for whatever reason... and there is nothing we are able to do ,except... be there for them.

Running gives us sanity, space and somewhere to sort ourselves out., because if we are going the be there, we need to be there in the best condition we can be.

The runs are good... any run... any distance and any time... and the last thing you need is to give yourself grief for what you consider a poor performance. I call your run a showstopper... you were out there... running.

So,, take time for yourself, take time to ease back and take time to just use that jeffing technique to work through your thoughts. You will get there, and you are not alone.

We are here, whenever you need support , advice or simply somewhere to let off steam.

Things will sort out, one way or the other, and you, will still be standing, and running at that point. Just believe it. x
