We've just watched The Human Race documentary, I saw a post about it the other day If you want inspiration do watch this. There's a woman of 80 yrs old who ran a half marathon in over an hour less than I would expect to.
Run happy everyone or rest well

Oddly enough I thought it might have been your post, there's a lot of women runners but men too, I found it on YouTube and also found that my phone did magic and with a couple of taps I can watch anything that's on the phone on the TV, so we both watched it
Haha, oddly enough so did I 🤣I remember posting about a program some time ago but couldn't remember what it was called ... Just had a quick look at the one you mentioned and don't think it's the same one 🤔😂
You've got me curious now about the one I posted about some time ago .
I'll just have to find your post now and look it up, poor Willow, he didn't set out to be inspired 🤣 but I heard mutterings of running yesterday, it's a strange time for me, I spent most of last year saying, when I retire I'm going to train for a half marathon, then a couple of weeks ago I thought if I left it too long I would be too old so emailed my notice over straight away, spent the next few days tearfully wondering what I'd done and if it was the right decision, then got down to planning 😃
I tried and tried to link it here, best I could do was a screenshot, if you type The Human race documentary into Google or YouTube search you should find it, and yes I nearly watched that horror movie
Thanks for the suggestion- will definitely take a look. I think your plan to train for a HM when you retire is a great idea. I found that when I retired, I still woke up early every morning, so running has given me something to do while my other half has a lie in! (Beats housework!)
He's so going to love that idea 🤣 but.... He's promised to come with me on the shorter runs, so I'll build back up with lots of 20 minute runs, he can walk them, can't have me being fit and energetic and him not can we? 😃
No worries... just copy and paste the URL link located at the top if you are on a desktop. If you are on mobile, you can click the Share button, which will give you options to copy the link too.
I'm 67 now, I suddenly realised if I left it much longer there wouldn't be a half marathon in these legs, so snap decision and sent my notice immediately, so roll on May and I'd love to train virtually together, I'm thinking Nike Run Club HM plan 😃
And definitely take the time to watch that documentary, parts of it brought tests of pride to my eyes
I’m 68 this year 😳…I was thinking NRC too. I’m into week 6 of the 10k plan…bizarrely you run 10km at the end of week 5, then it carries on for another 2 weeks (10 further runs). I’m doing all the runs, but spread over 2 or 3 a week. A virtual training club sounds like fun!🥰
