A New Year…a new resolve…“Running Towards Your Goal With Headspace” 😊🏃🏻‍♀️🐌

It’s been a while since I posted…December seemed to fly by and here we are in January! 🤷🏻‍♀️

So since my last run (NRC10K #12 on Nov 29th), I managed to complete W3 with the 4 mile Long Run. I then went off programme due to weather, family visits and time constraints. So my old favourite “First Fartlek” and a “15 Minute Run”…which I ended up extending to 24 minutes!

Anyway, got back on track on Sunday with the first run of W4…a 40 minute Recovery Run with CB and “Headspace” Andy.

It was mild, but windy…so a chance for me to try out my new hat…would it keep my ears warm?

I opted for a “there and back” along the canal.

So, stretches, warm up walk and off I go…tunes in background…CB and Andy nattering away about setting goals.

Nice slow gentle trot…totally warmed up by halfway, so hoodie off and tied around waist. Saw a kingfisher on the way back…too fast for a photo!

Run finished, walk back to the car for stretches and water. Ears stayed warm!

Oh…and apparently some virtual Strava bling…Local Champion!

So…if you can’t do the run you should…enjoy the run you’re doing (or something similar from CB)

me too OF! It’s terrible isn’t it 😬. The sun is out, it’s not raining and I’m propped up on cushions. I did have some excitement though. I walked to the postbox 😁 I boxed the decs up but I couldn’t put them away as it involves the attic. That’s a job too far for the moment. I’m waiting in for the new dishwasher being delivered and fitted I hope nothing goes wrong 🙏. Things have a habit of going awry at my house 😬.

I had to laugh this morning. My husband walked out of the house with the old Christmas tree under his arm, threw it into the car and drove off. There was a lump of it hanging out the door 🎄😁. Ho ho ho 🎅🏻

I like reading the various posts about folks’ runs. It’s a way of “keeping my hand in” 🏃‍♀️

The dishwasher man is back! 😫. After he left I thought I’d load up the new machine. I couldn’t open the flippin door as it was wedged against the plinth! Doh 😖 So, I was still washing pots in the sink after dinner last night ☹️

I did 😁. My new dishwasher is running 🙏. It’s the newer version as my last one but it’s internal dimensions are smaller 🤷‍♀️🤨. They must need the space for the floor light and Bluetooth connections to Alexa 🤯🤡. I must be getting old 😁. Just wash the flamin pots already 🤷‍♀️

I’m off for a run. I’m sick of bad backs and not running 😤 A steady plod to see how I feel. It’s not raining either 🏃‍♀️

I love Andy P😍. I run to one of his podcasts and it’s really calming. Not sure which one it is. It’s like balm 😀. He and Coach B together are just the job

CB and Andy’s words just wash over me (in a good way)…I’m left thinking that I must remember to mention that…and then I can’t remember a thing! 🙄

I recall that there was a lot about goal setting in a realistic way, and being kind to yourself if you don’t achieve what you set out to do…just setting the goal is an achievement in itself, like running…you may not set that PB, or run as far as you planned…but you got out the door and went for a run! 🙌🏼

Music…yes, I’m a 70’s Rock Chick…searched Spotify for all kinds of 70’s rock compilations!

Hats…I have a baseball cap, a buff, and now this bobble hat…happy 😊
