The weather has been so gloomy for the last week I just haven't been motivated to leave the house any more than the bare minimum, but yesterday was different.
I woke to a glorious sunrise outside my window. A quick coffee and off we went. The countryside was covered in frost, every blade of grass outlined. The quagmire paths were frozen solid and every footfall had that satisfying 'crunch' as it landed.
A gentle 5k blew away all the cobwebs. Hope we get more winter mornings like this!

Yes, we're back to gloomy clouds again today as well. I'm hoping Christmas morning is bright enough to tempt me to Parkrun! The days are getting longer! 😁
Have you checked there is a Parkrun? Mine’s not happening.
I hear ya, I haven't been able to get outside either. The gloomy dreary days force me onto the couch under a plaid. I only come out once a week for my obligatory day at the office (other days I work from home). Thought about trying to go for a walk today, but I just can't...
Well done for getting out there, send some of that weather here if you can 😉
I wish you WillowandSolo a very happy Christmas, regarding not seeing the sun or blue sky for over a week, the only time and day I saw blue sky in the last 7 days was last Saturday afternoon when on part of a 8K walk which involved climbing a 700 foot hill, I got up above the gloom and fog into brilliant sunshine but alas after 15 minutes I had to come back down the hill into the gloom and fog, I also wish you Badoldknees complements of the season. 😊 🎄🤶👍
I LOVE mornings like that, what an absolutely gorgeous place to run. I ran down by the river yesterday, it was frosty and pretty too. Managed a nice steady 7k, love running in the cold!
