Today I ran around the York wall. 🏰

So, today I did something different. I ran around the York wall. It was lovely and quiet and such a beautiful day!

The steep steps in places were not so brilliant, but I thoroughly enjoyed running somewhere different with views.

Found a lovely hotel garden that the wall overlooked en route so I looped back and sat and had a coffee there afterwards.

What a treat! 😎

Thanks! We only moved here just before Christmas and like everyone else - we’ve been stuck indoors since then, so this is really the first time I can actually get out and do things.

And I will do and see all the things now! 🤩

Me too! I do get bored easily so for me it’s important to keep things new and interesting. Plus it’s a great way to see the area!

It’s about 3K for the whole wall, I live just outside of the City so I tootled along the river path before I got to the wall and figured out where to actually start and stop. It is a great route to do on a sunny day... I’m still smiling from it! 😁

Yes a couple of the steep steps tested my knees a little but they held up well 😆 luckily it was quiet so I didn’t see more than 5 people on the whole route. 👌🏼
