β± β± β± β± β± β± β± β± β± β± β± β± Oh my goodness where shall I start, tech issues, headphones not working, how do I pace myself without the app, stress and craziness but I did it!!!
What a difference it makes to your stress levels when you start timing yourself running!!
I felt I wanted to know where I was up to regarding my distance and splits, maybe I should have waited till week 9, possibly I was slightly in patient but my last timed run was last year!!....... I sort of guessed what it was going to be like when my Fitbit wouldnβt connect!
After a few false starts with the Fitbit I knew I wanted to run to Wandsworth Common on this beautiful morning. I wore my running shorts and long sleeved running top, (actually I should have worn vest top as it was so warm) βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ I ran over Clapham Common π²π³π²π³π²π³π²π³π²π³π²π³π²the C25K app kept pausing and my Headphones kept cutting out π§ π§ π§ π§ π§ π§ π§ π§ π§ π§ π§ π§so was mucking about with the phone whilst running, by the time I got to Clapham South πΎ πΎ πΎ πΎ πΎ πΎ πΎ πΎ πΎ πΎ πΎ πΎ I had given up trying to use the app and decided I was just going to judge this run using my Fitbit so I decided to just enjoy listening to my new playlist of songs πΆ πΆ πΆ πΆ πΆ πΆ πΆ πΆ πΆ πΆ πΆinstead of Sarah Mβs lovely accent.
I felt really strong πͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺduring this run but I did feel that I struggled with how to pace myself without the app (felt a bit crazy!) so I look forward to learning how to do that again but I must say I actually felt like the old Bec π§π»βππ§π»βππ§π»βππ§π»βππ§π»βππ§π»βππ§π»βπ which felt so lovely and during this run It was so nice to reflect on everything that has happened this year and all my little achievements which are so special to me regarding running, work and health and all the amazing support I have received from my VRB, family and friends (so thankful) π₯°π₯°π₯°π₯°π₯° and the fact that I must start using my new AirPods that I got from Father Christmas!!
So my time was 28 minutes and 8 seconds and my splits (Yaay canβt believe I am talking splits again!) were:
7:06
6:03
5:53
5:38
5:48
You will notice my last split is not negative, I actually slowed down a bit towards the end of the run as I did not want to run 5k at week 8, (sounds mental I know!) but I am so looking forward to doing that on week 9 plus my lovely running Coach (pacing tips very much needed please!!) is going to run my first 5k (this year) with me virtually.
Good post from you Rebecca, I love all those emojis, I am quite sure with all your runs which are getting quicker by the run that the next time you run 5K it will be sub 30 minutes, as for me, this morning Wednesday 21st April I intend to run 8K, the first time this year, it's a lovely sunny morning so I hope I will enjoy that run.
Little achievements? I beg to differ. What you have done is HUGE!! ππππͺπͺπͺππππ₯³π₯³π₯³Tech malfunctions can be really stressful can't they. But you overcame them, and everything else, like the true champion you are ππππ¦Έπ¦Έπ¦Έ

Wow! Well done Rebecca that's an awesome run. πββοΈ Its super refreshing reading your posts, and just seeing you whizz through it with fresh eye's! You forget so much about C25k, how things used to malfunction, multi tasking tech, and runnning without pace...omg thinking about it is a bit crazy!
Aww thank you so much Limu I never realised how special it would feel being able to do C25K again, I feel the luckiest girl alive at the moment so special.
