First day since last Sunday suffering plantar fasciitis still there yet but wasn’t too bad first thing and sacroiliac problems. Took it easy as you can see from my splits: 9.06 8.57 8.43 8.04 8.25 43.15, but felt comfortable but going by my heart rate max was in zone 5 21 mins and zone 4 17 mins. Wasn’t out of breath and could have run further must be garmin settings.

It was 176 max. Don’t know how Jools2020 gets her heart in zone 2. Wish I could and that was me going slower as well this morning and about same age as Jools2020 . Can’t test my max heart rate cunning for a mile as fast as I can with osteoporosis scared I do damage 😀

Well done on getting out there. I suffer with Plantar as well, some days worse than others, so understand why it’s good to rest as well. I’m curious do you ‘Jeff’ when you run. I had difficulty getting my heart rate down as I was running. Constantly in the red unless I went really slow. I’ve now changed to Jeffing and my heart rate is much better so much so my VO2 max has increased by a few points and my fitness is saying I’m 18 years younger! I take that with a pinch of salt but it’s definitely improved 😁. My pace has increased as well from 8.01 to 7.22 so if you’re not already Jeffing might be worth checking out.

Thank you. I have tried Jeffing 1:30/00/30 but got fed up of it bleeping all the time and when it was to run or walk.Blackscorpion does 4.30/30 sec walk and thought of giving that a try bigger gaps in between. I ran 10 km but don’t want to do that too often . What was your Jeffing set at please?😀

I do 30:30 and find that works well for me at the moment.

Do you do it on your Garmin?. My VO2 Max is 35 excellent top 15% of my age and gender which i am 65. I can run at 7 mins and under that but just getting a bit worried in case of bones getting damaged with the pounding. I find walking a bit boring all the time and I want to get into a jog. I was just going to try something different

I do. I’m in the top 35% for my age but it’s improving and more so since Jeffing. I’m really pleased with that as until a year ago I hadn’t run. 7 mins is brilliant, I’ve got to that very very occasionally but it’s a work in practice. I understand your worry about pounding and it sounds like you understand your running well, so I hope you have many more runs coming up.
