Morning runners and a happy hump day to you all ππ»
Went for another bash at the 5k, avoided roads but didn't go to my planned flat route, the slopes weren't huge but a few uphill sections to keep you working.
I managed a 26.58 which didn't get as close as I thought it would, I wasn't running a flat out pace and probably at a steady 7 out of 10 right round so more of a Tempo Run.
Splits were decent and controlled, run went quickly and without issue. Music was more house than usual and on the same playlist I've been using for hours now, somebody put a lot of effort into this!π€£
Happy with the effort today and still think I can build to beating that pesky record π€£ I think I must have been on a bus when I set that pace π
Also this run brought me over 100km for the month of January! 102 so far to be exact π
I hope everybody running today has a good one πͺπ»ππ»

Heh, well done, 102 km's already, you've smashed that this month!!!No PB today, must have been the hills π€£ but still fast π₯΅ and good splits, not sure i'll even do a 30 min, 5k π i use my you tube music app, got about 170 songs, on playlist, alot of older 70/80's stuff, oh, and meat loaf π¦π€£
Fantastic effort, great distance to have covered only β through January, your final tally will be magnificent. I'm aiming for my 12th 100k+ month on the trot, only 10k to go, had to cut todays run short when HR went high and felt dizzyπ€ no reason for either. Happy running π€
Hope your feeling ok now GH, i've got another 13.5 km's to go, we've both got plenty of time to get there, very impressed with your 12x100km's! ππ
I'm good thanks, no idea why HR was so high. First time since taking up running I've had to stop and walk. Been fine for rest of day. You are going to smash this 100k with loads of extra distance, you should be very proud of yourself.
Glad your feeling better, was reading a post yesterday, about HR, and different zones, bit lost with it all really, dont have a run watch, i just run! π€£
When I started running my HR was between 180 and 210. Since I got a garmin and got used to running, slowing down etc i can usually run with an average about 156 which for me is good. My resting HR is really good just my moving HR which is high. Today it was bopping around 188π€·ββοΈ just now typing this 62 - some range π€£
Blimey, 7:15/km for a long run π₯΅ i'm a long way of that sort of pace, but early days still i guess! π€£ planning another 10k tomorrow, although feeling a bit sniffly today, will see how it goes.
Woo nice one πͺπΌπͺπΌ That is a fast pace for only 7/10 effort!! And those splits π Amazing to think youβre already over 100k for Jan, well done!
