I can now see the benefits of both a Fartleg and a Speed run as both are slightly different. I now want to do at least one of these per week plus my normal jogs but donβt want to end up with an injury.
Itβs partly to improve and increase my pace but itβs also partly to get rid of my belly fat π€¦ββοΈπ₯΄ππ·π·
Has anyone found what works best for them?

You make me feel worn out just reading your posts with all the exercise you take. As for me, a gentle walk these day....plenty of time for those when the weather is reasonable during the Winter.
Lol I donβt think I do enough or am consistent enough as I can stop for a week or two which isnβt good. It makes me feel better both in my mental health and my physical health and at the moment I am very motivated so hope this lasts. Need to lose a stone in weight though but canβt seem to manage this ππ€ so going the speed and fartleg runs will help more with this πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ€
Are you male or female ? I just like my leisurely walks when I feel like it. With being in Tier 4 in Kent all I do is cooking, cleaning, and ironing. I think we probably may all need to lose some weight now Christmas is over. With what the steroids have put on me, I've jumped from 9st 8lbs to 10st 4 lbs....so have some work to put in. I'm glad the hunger pang are getting fewer. You're are doing well.
Female and also in Tier 4 in Kent and I have to get out otherwise Iβd go mad. I donβt go near people so it is easy to exercise. Some people I follow on Strava run 20k EVERY day π€¦ββοΈ they inspire me massively although I know I will never get to that stage π€πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
What works for me is mixing things up. I'll probably settle into doing longer runs at weekends and shorter different runs (run/walk intervals, slow/fast intervals, Fartleks, short sprint runs) during the week, certainly until the days get longer again.
ju-ju- had us all doing planks. That gave me tighter core muscles. I was happy. Now I need to put the After Eights down and do planks again. (Itβs only 3pm π¦)
ππ I remember reading about her Plank challenge. I have started today doing 10 push ups, squats, lunges, bicep curls, crunches and a plank for the count of 50 (that was as much as I could manage) letβs see how long this lasts ππππββοΈ
