today was the 5km of the week I was planning on doing it in the evening, but a roommate's alarm woke me up far too early (7:30!), so I decided to head out pre-class.
I ended up running with a friend, and so without music too. I think I find it harder when I run without music, as so often I get caught up / can put on an upbeat song when I'm feeling tired. But it was good! I didn't take my phone to record the run - which i find tricky as I like to know all the stats!! I think its good mentally to sometimes run without knowing pace / distance - although I know the loop we did was 5k.
I think our pace was slightly faster come the end than my natural 'easy' pace, but I felt good afterwards
Next up: 8.5km long run!

What a lovely friendship run, so different after running on your own, and well done completing a run without stats. I’d feel really weird if I didn’t have a record of my run. Madness, how did i get like that🤣 happy running 🤗
ahh running with someone is nice - also it keeps ou running form too fast as you have to speak!!
and thank you!
Long runs are so great! Well done for going without music too. I prefer this but it's not for everyone. You are ticking over nicely. Good luck for the 8.5!
