Hi, thanks for showing those of us approaching 60 that we have "a lifetime " of running ahead of us๐Ÿ˜€ . Do you know that in many races age classifications put you in super veterans at 50 for men and 45 for women - I guess you must be in the " phenomenal runner" category, well done. happy running ๐Ÿค—

I set it at 65 but knew it would draw comment.

I was just curious to know if there were any other senile delinquents out there like me๐Ÿ˜ The truth is what ever age you are running at we are all winners.๐Ÿ‘

This is the only place where I have actually owned up to my age (67) - usually I just mumble something and change the subject! But it seems to be a place where people are proud to be running at all ages so I decided if you canโ€™t beat them, join them and own it! But I still donโ€™t understand how I got to be 67 - last time I checked I was organising my 40th!!๐Ÿ˜ณ

Hello Youngster, Oh yes time flys. I get a kick out of sometimes passing younger runners with the cry " Old guy coming thru " Its the look of total horror on there faces with I love. So enjoy your seniority. From my point of view I have no choice but to grow older, enjoying the process is the trick and I think running helps.๐Ÿ˜

Well as long as I can keep up my (slow) running and my diving, I guess no-one else but us need know, eh?!

Hi Hamit! Great question- Just recently turned 69 and my husband is 71 (C25K has been a godsend for us). I do like the terms โ€œsenile delinquentโ€ and โ€œphenomenal runnerโ€ โค๏ธ. We are also trying to learn how to sail. Youโ€™ve been and continue to be an inspiration on the forum.

Well done on the learning how to sail as well as the running. I am learning the guitar but I think I am the despair of the guitar teacher, but never give up I suppose. Good luck on your endeavors. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™m 65, just three weeks off my 66th birthday. Not quite sure how that happened! Iโ€™m just pleased to be chugging along!

Hi Hamit.

I'm 73! I'm glad you asked. I've been curious to know if I'm the eldest on here.

Iโ€™m 65 and only started running at 63. My favourite comment as I run past people is โ€œold enough to know betterโ€ and best response was โ€œand young enough not to careโ€!! I love parkrun because of the age grading ๐Ÿคฃ
