Early running yesterday was warm but the sun was yet to break through. Normally I stick rigidly to a tried and tested route but perhaps I left my OCD tendencies in bed because I found myself off in a new direction which was lovely on a boardwalk by the river but not so great across the dried out fields. How do the cross country runners cope with the constant need to look at the ground for fear of otherwise tripping and going splat πŸ₯Ί. Anyway eventually got back to stable paths and road and 10k time pretty good considering the growing heat and sun plus my precarious crossing of the field ?
