In the grand scheme of everything right now this is fairly trivial but I’m missing my running routine. I’m being good and following the rules and only going out once for exercise but I’m dragging teenagers out of the house for half an hour’s walk. So I lose my opportunity for a run. I did dedicate one day in the week for me and a run but having spent the last 8 weeks following JuJu, running three times a week and getting to an hour running I’m really missing it and already sad at how far my fitness with slip. I’m now enforcing a 30min jo wicks routine on the kids and my regular yoga class has gone online so trying other forms of exercise but I’m missing my running routine.
Sorry that went on a while....just feeling a bit 😕

I don't think its trivial Sparkey, it's part of the mental adjustments we are all making. I still get emotional when I think about park run being cancelled!
I wonder if concentrating on strengthening exercises at home, like squats, might help? So when you can run again you'll have super strong legs!
I reckon lots of us are feeling the same though, having all worked so hard. We are truly all in this together.
And also expressing how you feel is important! Is there any mileage in telling your teenagers how you feel and maybe asking them to try a bit of running with you? (Think I may already know the answer to that!!! 😉)
Well said Sparkey - I think we’re all a bit like this at the moment. I’m missing the swimming I do on my non-running days and am struggling to get moving-
I haven’t quite got into the Joe Wicks thing yet! Hang in there and run when you can! Life will return to normal one day - there’ll be no stopping us then!
It’s really tough right now, and I totally get the decision you’ve made.... so much has changed in the last few weeks, and we are all still adjusting. I really get how you are feeling right now and I’m sending you a big virtual runners hug. This will pass and you will be out running again in the future.... and maybe your teenagers could run too? I’m going out once a week with my husband which I never thought would happen, and he’s actually enjoying it.... take care 😎
