Cancelled race

So my 1st race has just been cancelled that was due to take place this Sunday. I know the reasoning behind it but can’t help but feel a little flat and de motivated about it all now. I was running for the local hospice and got about £500 in sponsorship so was going to do the run this Sunday regardless of the decision of the race. I just hope the people who have sponsored me understands it and continues to sponsor.

That's such as shame, it's a pity they didn't think about doing it as a virtual run. You could send your sponsors a snap of your runs stats, I'm sure they will all be more than happy to honour their sponsor money. 🤗

They haven’t made any decision yet about doing a virtual run or later date yet just that it’s not happening on Sunday

I think most people are expecting a lot of things to be cancelled not just running so I think the majority of them will.
