🍏Brave Heart

As I set out on my last run this morning before flying home tomorrow my heart was heavy & sad. It’s never easy saying goodbye to family. A suburban peacock popped in to cheer me on. I noticed a man with cerebral palsy struggling to get across a busy road. I was all set to stop & help him when to my astonishment I realised he was out for a run. He ran at snail pace & with grace & dignity. A brave heart! We runners all carry different burdens! Some are physical, some are mental or emotional. We are all brave hearts! Keep running & inspire someone else today! You are braver & stronger than you think you are! 🏃‍♀️

Lovely. 💕 The downside of wide-spread families is those departures. But the upsides are good too, not least warm running in February! And what a great tale of an inspirational runner. 🎉🎉🎉 Definitely one to remember when next tempted to grumble about tired legs or slow speeds! 🤔

Beautiful post, Annie. It must be really hard leaving your family, but that attitude is the best. We never know who we may inspire, and we never know how heavy someone else’s burdens are. Here’s to brave hearts!

What a lovely post Annieapple, I'm sure you've really enjoyed spending time with your family and running in new places.

You've had great adventures between Canada and Miami . 🤗🤗

Do you visit them often and do they plan on coming to the UK?

Thank you Buddy! We usually have managed one trip a year but will not be possible financially for much longer. The Canadian family come over once a year & now at long last my daughter has her green card & will be able to travel so they will come over in the summer!

I have loved the running opportunities!! Who would ever have thought I would be doing that! 🏃‍♀️🌸⛄️ 🏔 🏖

Aw, your post made me feel sad, saying goodbye to your loved ones must be so hard. But how lovely to love so much as to miss so much! That make sense? So delightful to read of your running out there. Great experience and great commitment!
