Finally tackled the hill!

So I have wanted to try out a new route for a while now, but have been avoiding it because of the large hill at the start. I saw someone here named a hill they ran often, and I like the idea, so I have named this hill Charlie, after my old dog - difficult but worth it!!

I didnt quite manage to keep running the whole way up, I had to walk about 100m of the steepest section, but for my first proper hill I think I did ok! And then I had a nice gentle slope on the way down. It was also through proper farmland, so we got to see cows, sheep and donkeys which kept it interesting!

So I am going to add this to my repertoire of runs! It is also good because about 5K in there is a good swimming spot along the river, so I might take a little backpack with some bathers one day too!

Great to find you can do hills. I avoided them all through c25k. Great fun to conquer each new one. Enjoy them and the swim in the middle - presumably when weather improves. Happy running

Brilliant, just keep running up it and before you know it you'll be running all of it 😊😊
