My 5.5km run

Well it is done and I am feeling amazing. I chose a trail to do this one as I wanted to visit a war memorial that is on top of a Roman Fort.

Muddy and hilly but slow and steady got me to the finish line :)

Great photos tiggs1. Isn't it great finding new places to run and visit. 😊

It is wonderful to have the confidence and incentive to go to new places and I am finding that I prefer trail running, it seems to suit me better as I don't feel so bad about going so slow due to having to be more careful of where my feet are going in rough terrain :)

All my runs are done on the pavement . The only experience I have of trail is my parkrun it's great

Nice thing to do today on your road to 10K. Well done, despite the mud and hills😃

Good run n pics

I’m just hugely impressed by anyone who runs up hills. All my runs are on the flat. One day...one day...I’ll find a gentle slope. Hills scare me. So super well done!

Thank you although I am sure if I walked up them I would get to the top faster as when i say 'slow and steady' i really mean it. My legs feel fantastic after hills though :)

It’s the keeping running, not the speed that counts - so don’t under-estimate what you’ve achieved!

Well done tiggs, lovely route...and I'll bet those hills were super good for your legs 😅

Nothing like achy legs in the morning to remind you how hard you've worked 👍🏃‍♀️

Thank you, for some reason it is my right bum cheek that is reminding me of my run :)
