Too busy!!

With a lot going at the moment, e.g. work, trips away etc., I'm really struggling to complete the 3 runs per week of JuJu's plan.

I have managed the short run (Mondays) and the 5k run (Wednesdays) but have manged to miss the long run for the last 3 weeks. As a result, I've had to restart week 3, 3 times.

To top it all, I've got a holiday coming up in 3 weeks, so will probably miss a complete week then.

I feel like I'm never going to get to week 8 if I have to redo incomplete weeks.

Am I right to restart each week if not completed in full and be patient to get to the end goal or does anyone have any other suggestions.

If a week takes you over 7 days, I think you can just stretch it out - maybe 9 days or 10 days, much like C25K

Thanks BIT. I was thinking though that 4 or 5 days between runs maybe a bit too long...no?

I'm no expert but I adapt my running to life :D

You can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, although the course is 9 weeks, many people take longer than that.

Just forget about the calendar week Davo and just do a short run, a 5k and a long run in however long it takes. Sometimes I had one rest day between runs, sometimes I had 3. Just do it to suit your circumstances and you’ll get there. Have fun

Short and 5k one week, same short and long the next will be fine.

Remember a plan is only ever a basis for change ..... 😀

This is my second time on the plan and I'm not going to finish in 8 weeks. Last time I went for too much too soon so today I repeated week 3 45 minute run to kind of make sure it was in the bag. I'm going to try 50 mins next week. I think being patient will probably work out better in the long run (Sorry about pun) for me but we're all different...

I think as you are used to 4 and 5k runs you could maybe do a 5k shorter run and your long run on the weeks when you're struggling...or if twice a week is a long term thing then 4k/long run 1 week, 4k/5k the next week. That way you'd still be progressing. Good luck finding something that suits you and your schedule 👍
