Is there anyone who has upgraded to the subscription version of Runkeeper from the free version? Is it worth it?

Sorry Chris141. I too use the free version of Runkeeper.

But I tend to use Garmin Connect and Strava...

I got a free year with RunkeeperGo. I wouldn’t pay for it and didn’t buy it when my subscription ended. It’s thirty quid!

You can get a free plan from Nike Run Club, which gets tweaked as you go, and I am doing well on it. It’s been driving me mad though as I run off road a lot and it doesn’t cope well signal wise, so it sometimes loses transmission when I plunge further into the woods. Understandable I suppose

A dodgy set of headphones also sent it loopy but it’s ok now I have a fresh set ( Lidl £2.99 😁). The conked ones are Apple ☹️

The Nike app also has coached runs which are fab Lots,of,choices of runs, distances and coaches these are free too

I paid for the premium version this year after using the free version for years. I wanted to test out their training programmes and they have live tracking which gives me a sense of security when running solo in my isolated hills. I've been fairly pleased with it but was a little disappointed that you couldn't compare the runs based on run type despite putting each run into a run category (this was important to me because my trail runs are so different than my road runs). I haven't decided if I'll renew it or not. I have a race this weekend, then will be taking a couple weeks off then am hoping to try the "run for fitness" option on there where they give you weekly runs, just to give me something to aim toward each week. Then I'll decide to renew or revert back to the free version in the new year.
