Second parkrun but 2 mins slower!

I guess I was pretty tired beforehand hadn’t slept that well maybe that’s why?

Or dehydrated?

It happens to all of us, some runs are better than others and when you think it was awful you can be surprised by a good time.

Congratulations on getting out there, just enjoy it and don’t worry, your pace will improve over time.

Only you will know if you haven't drank enough. You just ran 5k you should be so pleased even if your time was slower 😊😊

2 minutes slower than what? I expect my runs on my regular course to be anything between 24'30" and 26'00" depending on mood, weather, Friday night etc ….. so if you're running something around say 35 minutes, which for many C25K graduates is a realistic early target, a 2 minute variation shouldn't be unexpected. Next time will perhaps split the difference, then you'll get a PB :-) , then the one after that will be a nightmare :-( ……. and so it goes!!

It happens you have good days and bad days, there’s plenty more Parkruns ahead, try to get a good nights sleep running up to park run for a few days and drink loads of water x
