July 10k plus another 2 for luck πŸ˜ƒ

It was a lovely cool and overcast morning with just the lightest breeze, perfect for a run, so time for a long one. I have a little loop I do on my out and back runs which means my run back is 1km shorter than my run out. Works for me psychologically! So, quick loop and out with the intention of turning back at 6.5k to complete my 12k planned run, except I was also listening to Coach Bennet and missed it so turned back at 7k. At 12k I was still 1k from home, but my legs had had it, so switched off Strava and had a brisk walk to stretch out the muscles. 1hour 26 minutes at an average 7:10 per km. Dexy5 and Beachcomber66 I am back with you. cheekychipmunks look out πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Woohoo Sandie! You’re on your way - yet another person to prove that the β€œI’m not going to run beyond 10k” statement is total tosh! πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Really well done! Are we able to entice you to come and do the GSR with us? 😈 πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜€

Ooh I don’t know πŸ€” I might see how it goes and decide in a few weeks, because my legs are a bit wobbly!

Excellent run SandieπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ and a good pace too. Really sensible not to push it at the end. I went out this morning for the first time since Thursday’s Achilles pain. Just a 3.5k but everything felt fine, so I am on the comeback trail. Think I will be watching you and Dexy disappear into the distance, but hey I know my placeπŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ..............πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Thanks BC! That’s what I thought. It was 15 seconds per km faster than my 11k, though, but that was more of a trail! Glad to hear you’re feeling ok. Don’t think you’ll lose sight of us somehow πŸ˜‚

Glad to hear you got out again BC. Don’t worry , I am not going anywhere fast. Not like cheeky, disappearing onto HMs. No , I will not be following her on that one.

I said that about anything after 5k !!

Me too, but then my VRBs ran onto the bridge and off the other side, so I had to follow.

Most definitely... it is a special distance.. I could not believe I actually did it! A great pace too...!

I remember doing a steady 12K in the HM training and it took me 1 hr 40.. you are setting a cracking pace there:)

I generally try to stick to an average of 7 for the longer and gentler runs and 6:30 for faster ones. Mind you, my legs don’t seem to be able to go much faster than that unless I’m going downhill anyway πŸ˜‚

Whoopee . Well Done Sandie, 12k ticked, and so fast. I had no doubts you’d do it.

I only did 9k yesterday as my return long run after holidays so maybe next week try and get back on course.

We are like the 3 musketeers - all for one, one for all.
