Set off for my run this morning n all was going well. Managed to convince my legs that we didn’t need to hare off at high speed (for me anyway 😂) n settled into a steady pace.
However, I had to slow to almost a standstill to get through the gate to the nature reserve cos of the old guy in front of me, who then decided this was an appropriate moment to tell me all about his wife dying 😢. The poor old fella was obviously very sad n just needed someone to talk to so I ended up listening for a few minutes before getting back on my way.
Unfortunately this completely threw off my time so I had to add a few minutes on to get my 35 minutes of running done. Luckily it went much better than the last 3 runs, apart from the copious amounts of sweat running down my face 🥵. Onwards to Week 2! 🏃♀️

It definitely is! I found a sweat index on my weather app so I’m sure I’ll find out how useful it is lol. I really felt for the poor man, I guess he must’ve been really lonely 😔
aww well done SeeJillRun, you probably cheered that poor man up with those few minutes of kindness and although it spoilt your pace you persevered inspite of the humidity 🙌😊
