Feeling great today and then had to decide what to run... ideally I needed to go short and see if there was any reaction... but I also need to maintain the legs with a long run, and the sanity.

So, I thought about the toxic 10... and decided to see if I could do anything about it. 5/2 run walk should get my heart rate back down in between runs, so that’s what I did. No pain so I kept going, and then 80 minutes and 10k were done. No pain on the run, hopefully it’ll be ok tomorrow.

Felt so good... and I had a little marshal, I was running laps and she was pointing which way to run each time round and cheering... some of my laps were a little random, but that’s what you get with 3 year old marshals I guess 🤣🤣🤣

I got home at 8 this morning (don’t ask!) and made bagels with melted cheese for breakfast... took little one to school, walked a 5k, came in, 3 fried egg butties, and then down to m&s for a large pot of coleslaw... home, had that with a fork, and now I’m finally not hungry... been sleepy though 🤣🤣

No aches yet, which is promising. I have a 5k to run and I’m done for the week, I’ll start back properly on Monday. Can’t parkrun as I’m gonna visit the in-laws and only there one night so don’t want to be rude... so I’ll be freedom running somewhere on Thursday I think.

It was a rearranged goal when I got injured... I’ve been aiming for the 15k weekly awards and last month was my first 100k one. Missed my first 15k week in a few months last week... but I’m glad to be back!

Yeah, would have run less than 10, and I managed to not earn any high intensity minutes on Garmin, so my physio will be happy with me on both scores.

I’m thinking of doing this a couple more times, kinda teasing the toxic 10 by staying in it... will know if it’s had an effect next time out.

Thanks... so far so good! Time in wales without parkrun coming up, so a few extra recovery days should help out no end.

Yeah, I liked the 500m laps as I knew how far I’d gone and could leave the watch on the run/walk screen, but it would have become a tad boring for 10k I think. Maybe they should do this at the olympics... “yes we know you’ve done 5k running round this way, but now run over the grass, watch out for javelins, turn right and run the other way for a bit”
