I’m so pleased that’s done, it was far too warm for me and hilly but it’s completed without any knee pain or injury.

My last run last weekend was when I had knee pain which did worry me, but a week of no running, just horse riding and I’ve run around the course feeling fit in my legs.

Just got to work on my fitness now with hills and consolidate this distance as I did go much slower than my normal 5k pace.

But I now have a time to improve on plus I need to run hills!!

Woohoo well done Rubinstar! Such a muggy day today, so good for you for completing your amazing 10k. I’m doing the Bristol one on June 30th and I’m so looking forward to it! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Woohoo, great work, Rubinstar! It was such a humid, muggy weekend. Well done on getting round, and your strategy for staying in one piece worked 😊

Thank you.

The heat did affect my running, I was just too hot, I find it distracting and it overpowers the run, I’m sure it’s that that makes me Go a bit Weird feeling.😳

I’m not really up to 10K so

I had some very slow jogging moments and walked some of the hills, but I did it!!

I felt a bit weird doing parkrun, never mind 10k! It was energy sapping, but you did it! You look remarkably chipper in that lovely photo, too!

10km though!! You look liked you enjoyed it? We don’t have too many hills where I live, so I should probably go find them for a shakeup. Does horse riding help with fitness. Sorry I’ve no idea. πŸ˜‚. Well done! πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

Well it does as I do dressage so that does involve a lot of leg and core, but at 50 years old, having ridden since childhood, I find that my lower back and shoulders are faulty πŸ˜‚ my physio helps but I’m deffo not without pain and stiffness most days and I’m fairly supple!

Rotator cuff repair was all from horse injuries.

The jobs pushing wheelbarrows if poo, water bucket, bales of bedding and hay and general yard duties also help.
