Hi guys !! Just a quick one here - what are , relative to your 'race pace' times, the times YOU aim for, on your 'tempo' ,and 'easy pace' runs ? Interested if Im setting the bar too high for the two 'slower' pace runs .ie for 5K my 'race pace', is 6:08/km - I,ve set my tempo pace at 6:44/Km and 'easy pace' at 7:24/Km - interested in your own experiences and your opinion on my 'pace setting' !!

It's up to you how comfortable you are with your pace, many people are comfortable with a sub 6km pace both for a 5k and 10k race as they know that will get them a sub 30 minute or sub 60 minutes time respectively, others like the sub 7km pace as that is around a sub 35 minute 5K. I agree, a 7.24km pace is certainly comfortable, that is around 37 minutes 5K.

My paces won’t help you... this might runnersworld.com/training/a... only ever compare yourself with the previous you.

Well, your slow pace would be too fast for me, but that doesn't mean it's wrong for you. Sorry not very helpful 😳

My 5k race pace is 5 min/k, tempo 6, easy 7’30” - compared to those and given your 6+ race pace, your other speeds seem pretty quick, but really it’s each to his own 🤔
