Hi everyone, I hope your runs are going well. I've got a 30 minute run as part of the plan I'm on towards 10k and I'm finding it hard to sit still now!

If I could I would post this as a question, but I can't seem to work out how, so please just leave a comment πŸ˜„

My question is (assuming you don't run naked) - what song or album or playlist do you listen to when you go running? I'm looking to create the perfect playlist and need your help πŸ™πŸ»

I generally make up my own compilations of favourites but mostly I find its a good time to listen to audiobooks...

I’m like orange guy and prefer to listen to audiobooks. That way your rhythm isn’t affected by different music beats and you can get lost in the book rather than counting down how many tracks you e listened to!

Oh I run with a very vivid imagination and big epic orchestral scores in my ears πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Over the years I’ve made my own playlist and I keep adding to it. Try googling β€œEpic music” (it is a proper genre) and see if you like it.

During my runs I could be a warrior or gladiator or someone running from a scary axe murderer - see- vivid imagination πŸ™„

But my runs are NEVER boring .....

I DO THAT TOO! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who listens to epic orchestral music when I am running! When I first tried it, it was a real game-changer for me, it really helps me focus! The only slight problem is that I am a classical composer so whenever I hear something interesting in the epic music tracks, I'm like, oooh I've got to save that track and listen back to it later, which is not so easy when you are trying to watch out where you are running! :-D

And I'm glad I'm not the only one too! It helps me get up hills and hard runs πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

So, you're a classical composer?! How fascinating and what a gift. Should I google you? Are you famous? πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

I made up my own Playlist of quite upbeat songs which I still really enjoy. There is some Queen ( I want to break free...Hammer to fall and a few others) some Thin Lizzy ( Whiskey in the Jar'o The boys are back in Town) Elton John ( I'm still standing) Savage Garden ( Affirmation) John Farnham (I'm the voice) and Santana (Smooth) Simon and Garfunkle (Homeward Bound)....plus loads more all on shuffle...perfect! 😊xxx

I keep adding to my running playlist on Spotify and frequently play it. Just not when running.
