The tracker cue said ‘5k’ and the body said ‘enough is enough. I’ve hit a wall. We’re going uphill (again! again!!), let’s call it a day here. It’s a rubbish route, lumpy, bumpy, slippy, more up than down it seems.’ Head argued back saying, ‘well you’ll still have to walk the 3k back to car so you may as well just pick your feet up and run!’ Head won the battle, the hill melted away, the argument had been a good distraction. We got to 7k, we were all happy again and enjoyed the last 1k going gently downhill. The beetroot face probably caused alarm to some walkers setting off as I got back to the car! Yes, I was super tired but pleased with the run. Not fast but hadn’t expected or intended it to be. I’m pleased that I’ve found I can with a bit of a push achieve goals. Now going to enjoy couple of rest days, think I’ll need them.

Way to go...you showed those gremlins who is in charge! Glad you enjoyed it - it's a great feeling when you have achieved a goal so keep on smiling
Great run - and well done!👍 Winning the mental battle is everything!🙂💪
That’s the way Dowat! Tell your legs who’s boss! Who are they to argue anyway? They have one job - to carry you at the pace you want! Your head won over this time. Yesss! 👏👏👏👊
Slightly worried legs may pay back later with some aching!!
💪😁 yeah! Show those gremlins who is in charge!!
Just as a pointer the mind will give up when just 40% of actual energy resources have been used. There's always more in tje tank 👍😉
Thank you. That’s an interesting fact for me to remember when I need to shoo away the gremlins.
Well done head you showed that body who’s boss! 😃👍🏻
