Woke up late to sunny Sunday morning, sun was out after so many days, but Somehow body wasn't ready for today's run, but I didn't wanted to miss such a cool weather so decided to go ahead but forgot my winter cap and gloves (rather left knowingly as it was sunny). Just half a km of run and I realised it was a big mistake as my fingers started feeling cold badly, somehow continued and completed 6k (last km I was literally dragging my body towards home), wasn't feeling my fingers well, so put them in hot water and quickly get rid of sweaty clothes and jumped into bed with a big duvet, I was shivering like hell, after half an hour my wife came with another duvet still shivering didn't came down, then had a paracetamol with hot milk and slept. Whole body is paining, headache, legs, cough. I am completely down and set to miss tomorrow's run (and office as well most probably). Not a good feeling but I committed mistake so now paying price.
Suggestions to everyone, listen to your body, don't drag it unnecessary.

This is not good... are you following ju-ju- s plan for 10K... You and your body need rest days....and in Scotland? ( isn't that where you are... ) even more so with the dire conditions...
You are clearly unwell..keep warm ... and take care of you.... you are your best asset!
Yeah, from Glasgow Scotland. You are right I was needed rest but didn't listen to my body, now forced to take rest. It's really really bad feeling, lying on the bad doing nothing and body pain everywhere.
Oh no jrunner, poor you. Hopefully it’s just a chill. 🤞 But if not, rest up and get well soon. At least you got out today before the really cold weather hits - just saw this week’s forecast. 👎❄️👎
I feel your pain. That is such good advice to listen to your body. It knows best. I've tried running in the past while injured and full of cold. Hope you feel better soon and come back fitter and stronger.
