Do I need to buy trail shoes for the Beachy Head 10K?

This week I’ve not really been able to follow the plan in regards to distance. I’ve just come back from holiday with loads of hills, so I’ve done some hill work with the odd mile being trail ⛰

I’m just wondering if trail shoes are advised for the 10K? I know they are for the marathon but I’m not sure 🤔

It's mostly soft, grassy paths. Unless there's a LOT of rain leading up to it to make it really muddy you should be fine with your road shoes.

I use my normal shoes on the trail as I never go fast enough to require spikes etc!! However my shoes are now wrecked from the challenging trail I did on holiday and I would have benefitted from them definitely... it sounds as though it should be ok if mainly grass....
