For the heads up on the Brooks sale. Got myself a nice pair of pink glycerine 15's to go with my blue ones π. One of them will be taking me round the York marathon in October. Maybe I could do the odd one thing and wear one of each colour!
I like taking pictures of new shoes as they don't look like this for long.

Yep, they are and will go well with my orange running outfit π. Loving my On's but decided to go for something that seem to be longer lasting, at least for me.
Me too - a bit more "in your face" so to speak π than the blue ones.
They look gorgeous. My daughter runs in Brooks. I had Ghosts for a while but they made me heel strike, which is why I went for Ons, and they suit my mid foot strike. Funny how different we all are. Happy running in those x
Yes, I love my Ons but the Glycerine 15's seem to last longer on the heels. My Cloudflyers are showing appreciable wear after only around 200k - must brush up my technique!
I posted a reply but doesn't seem to have arrived! Brooks website. There's free delivery on orders over Β£75, 30 day trial and free returns. Link below, I hope
They look fab. I hope they give you many injury-free running miles Annie. I've had a few pairs of running shoes over the years but Brooks were my favourite. But they changed the design slightly from one year to the next and the new version didn't fit me properly. Why do they do this? π
Thank you IP. I know the 15s are ok, wouldn't have gambled the hard earned on something I didn't know. That question is asked a lot about lots of brands, just as you find something absolutely perfect they go and either change or discontinue it! grrrrrr.
Lovely colour. I love my Brooks adrenaline gts18. I tried a red pair in the shop which were a great fit but preferred the turquoise/pink colour so they ordered them for me. I didnβt try them in the shop as assumed they would fit the same but when I got them home they were really narrow compared to the red. I donβt know whether the sizing was incorrect on the shoes or whether itβs bad quality assurance on sizing. I went back to the shop and they agreed they werenβt the right size for me. They had the same shoe in wide fitting in blue, which was perfect. Iβve had no problems with them and would certainly buy again. I also like their 30 day replacement/refund promise.
That was unlucky! Mine appear to be fine on the sizing front both on my feet and measured against each other (allowing for the bit of "give" from wear. Both boxes have the same sizing info - not that that counts for a lot with your experience. I'll give them a 12k over the weekend to make sure π.
Iβve just ordered some brook trail shoes, the brand on recommendation from a friend who runs everywhere! Was looking at On as they are so comfy but the poor reviews regarding the soles and lack of stability have put me off. Happy running ππΎββοΈππ½
Hope they turn out to be just what you need and love.
I love my Cloudflyers but as I've said, I was surprised at how quickly the soles/heels wore at not much more than 100miles. I did read the reviews but expected a bit more. I know shoes don't last forever but to keep replacing at that price is more than I'm prepared to do. Glycerine's work nicely for me and aren't that much heavier at just over 20g/shoe.
I really love getting new shoes/I really hate wearing them at the start and go around/over puddles, mud etc until I forget and they start to get dirty.
