So finally got underway with Ju-ju’s “10 is the Magic Number” today, with a 3k run, using the 30-20-10 interval thingy.
All my pontificating about technology and which interval timer app went out the window as I forgot to charge my headphones (!) so I just counted in my head.
But... crikey (insert expletive of your choice here), that was hard! Felt like C25K w1r1 all over again. The plan had been to do 3 lots of five repetitions of 30-20-10... in fact I managed only five reps in total, with some hefty recovery time between most of them!
Ah well, that was the first time, so intervals can only get easier - and in the meantime am looking forward to a couple of more straightforward runs this week.

Interesting, or do I mean scary? Did the 5k run as my first run in the Ju-Ju plan, have been contemplating some mini intervals for the shorter run but will have to be treadmill based as I am away with work (in India) and they aren't really conducive to sudden changes if pace, will have to give it a go and see what happens, good luck with the rest of the challenge
Hi HoagyM, Just been having a little catch up of your posts. Well done you! Sounds like it is going really well indeed! 🏃🏃🏃🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️I am interested in quite what 30-20-10 interval thingy means? All the very best with Ju-ju’s 10k plan. Sounds like it will be a well manageable for you.
