I’ve been having a couple of bad TBI ( brain injury) and have been so exhausted that I haven’t been out since Thursday but I really wanted to go out today so I hatched a plan.
I found the best route I could for being flat or having a slight decline and I got my hubby to drop me off 4 miles from home.
I managed to run just over 6km in a decent time and in the heat but I do feel alittle like I cheated.
Part of me know it’s what I needed today and I still got out running despite being TBI fatigued but a little part does think it’s cheating . Better not get into bad habits 😳

Good point. I can’t do it all the time as I often run when hubby is at work. And yes I ll just keep it in my bank of runs if I need it at a later date just to be able to get out and run.
Thank you. I know I planned an easy run so I think that's why it feels a bit a bit wrong but I onky graduated in April and back then I'd have been pleased to run that distance easy or not.
You ran ... 6k is a good distance ... it was hot ... I can't see anything wrong with that. If someone had given you a lift in their car, well, that would have been cheating!
That’s a great distance and a great ‘treat myself’ route when ever it’s needed! My ‘treat myself’ route is along the riverside. You are running, it’s not cheating 🏃🏻🏃🏽♀️
Well done you for running 6k. I found running in the heat and humidity quite tough going yesterday. Manage 6k but only just and for the first time ever I got progressively slower with each k.
I seem to have a pattern . Km1 and km4 mid pace , slowest pace km3&4, then my fastest splits are km5&6. I think I startbof quite happy then panic I’m going too fast so slow down by km2 but by km 4 I realise I’m ok and can do it so speed up a little .then I realise I’m nearly done and up my game. The heat doesn’t seem to bother me as much as bright sunlight does. Well done on your 6km .
