Ok I now give in and will call myself a runner. I have just run 5 miles (8k) without stopping, up and down hills , round and around a new track. I’m absolutely amazed that I only graduated c25k in December and I’m now managing this with a massive grin on my face 😁
I’m now a ‘runner’ 😁 : Ok I now give in and... - Bridge to 10K
I’m now a ‘runner’ 😁
Well done! 8k with hills and a grin! I managed it last week but only a never ending-slope and certainly not a grin, apart from a big one at the end of course! 😀It is a great feeling.....
Wowee! I graduated a few weeks ago, but now you're making me think I need to push myself! Just doing 5km in 32 minutes at the moment. Might be time to up my distance.
I’m very slow but distance is more important to me than pace as I have half marathon in October but it’s the fact that I can do this distance without stopping that is amazing me. It’s all down to Ju-ju-‘s Bridge to 10k plan xx
I agree with Ajs07, if you want to up your distance do ju-ju- 's 10 is the Magic Number plan. I'm on it too and still can't believe I will soon be running 10k! (I graduated C25K end of Oct). It really is doable if you follow her fab programme. And btw I still can't run 5km in under 34 mins so for sure you can do it 😀🏃
Wahay! Well done! It's fab int it! You can stop however! There is absolutely no problem with having a walk break or stop to get your breath back. It can mean the difference between completing the session and not, so please do bear it in mind. It can save your ass!
Have fun! That's what it's all about. Keep running and having fun and you'll be a runner into infinity. That's my intention anyways.
I found that I did not need to walk as I took my time, my breathing was easy and gentle, my legs were working well, the only issue I had was pain in my left foot towards the end but I put that down to doing too much in new gait analysis trainers. I loved it, it’s such a buzz to complete a long run xx
Thats fab Ajs😊...well done it feels great doesn't it...I get a bit of discomfort in my toes towards the end of a long run, but I think its sweat and sock related😆 (tmi)...
Good luck getting to 10k and beyond! 😊
Remember to give yourself extra recovery time after a long run.😊x
Well done! Fabulous achievement after graduating so recently. Keep up the grin!
Wow that is amazing! Well done I graduated in July and I've only just got to 8k. Fabulous stuff, keep going!
