Swelling of left hand after 3 months of surgery.Is it going to serious?

As i have already posted.My Mom undergone surgery 3 months ago for left breast removal .After 3 months now her left hand started swelling(with little pain) from past 3 days .Did any one faced this?Please advice on this.

Dear chandraa,do not worry this happens due to fluid retention because lymph nodes have been removed.i too had it and wore a arm garment for two years,now i am fine and do not need to wear it.plz consult your doc,he will guide u from where to get it.tc,bless ur mom and u too.

chandraa, this swelling may come and go. Occasionally, the pain is due to nerve irritation in the armpit; even that will go away. Let your oncologist have a look. And do not worry, this is a common problem, nothing serious at all. Should settle down soon.

i too have this problem some time but if i do exercise it goes off.

I agree with mintzzz and shirdi. I have arm pains on and off. I do have a sleeve I wear whenever my arm bothers me.
