Thyroxine

Hi, I came off my oestrogen patch 6 days ago after 15 years following hysterectomy at 45. I’m 60 now and I’ve been diagnosed with invasive ductal breast cancer. I’m waiting for surgery.

So far so good with regards to menopausal symptoms.

I also take 100mcg of thyroxine (18 years) and this morning I experienced a sudden drop in my temperature to 34.9 it took 5 hours to come back to normal and I felt really ill. I have noticed that my pulse is also becoming a bit slower.

Does anyone know if there is a correlation between coming off Oestrogen (I have no ovaries) and Thyroid function?

Thank you in advance

Louise
