I had lumpectomy and five weeks of radiation.
After 1 year just had mammogram and was advise that two tiny micro calcification been identified and believe may be fat Nicrosis. However I am required to go in for biopsy to ensue their conclusion is correct. Fat nicrosis is non cancer, but I am anxious worried the what if it’s cancer ? Has anyone experienced this ??
I completely understand how you are feeling - I had my first post op mammo last week too and anxious was a complete understatement! I think they usually know what they are looking at and the procedure is to confirm it so keep yourself busy, I'll keep my fingers crossed and be thinking of you and let us know what happens.

So sorry you are having all this anxiety after being through it once already. You will feel much better once biopsies done but I doubt they would have said as much as they did unless they were fairly confident. Is it the same breast?
I had DCIS 2 years ago but just a lumpectomy no radiotherapy.

Let us know how you get on. My second mammogram meant another lumpectomy same breast in Sept , very small invasive ductal. Excellent prognosis just started radiotherapy. Thank goodness for excellent follow up system.
If you had R/T first time round it's unlikely to be anything horrid I would think .

So you had two lumpectomy? The second was the following year? No radiation the second time ?
No,2 year break and first one just lumpectomy no other treatment. No having R/T and started tamoxifen even tbough I'm post menopausal. Oncologist said I could choose as very low risk and because I am very clumsy and tend to fall over I thought I'd be better on it than the other option. Also take anticoagulants for heart!
First year lumpectomy , and second year lumpectomy and hormone therapy ?sorry for re ask I don’t know what R/T means lol.

Lumpectomy Sep 2019 plus hormone therapy and radiotherapy 15 sessions ( also called R/T or on some forums "rads". I've had 3 so far usually 4 hour round trip.
Does that make more sense??
I have two micro and they were cancerous. Please take supplements to keep your immune system strong n can kill any bad cell. Unfortunately in my case my cancer spread to my spine. Just be proactive. I 😘 wish the best for u.
Hello. Your worry and anxiety is totally understandable, sadly it is one of the invisible scars which a breast cancer diagnosis leaves us all with. I found a lump about 14 months after finishing radiotherapy which hadn’t shown up at my annual check (possibly because of where it was located just above where my bra sits). It’s discovery sent me down the path of a further a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsies which brought back many unwelcome memories. Anyway,thankfully the results suggested it wasn’t cancer but I wanted it removed to be sure. It turned out to be a fat necrosis as a result of my previous lumpectomy. It’s pointless to tell you not to worry I know, but they are on the case so hopefully you will have some answers soon.

I had to have a biopsy for something they saw in the opposite breast at my 6 months follow up mammogram.
Turned out to just be a cyst but for 3 days i was worried I'd have to go back through what I'd just finished.
I think, with our medical history, they have to examine every lump or bump carefully.
But its stressful!!
