Nearing the end of neo adjuvant chemo for TNBC ... 5 x FEC followed by 12 weeks carbo/paclitaxel ..today I had last but one treatment of paclitaxel followed by appointment with surgeon who arranged ultrasound. My 18mm tumour has not shrunk much at all!! He says that it looks less dense and is unable to now feel it ... I have never been able to. So upset !

Hi there. Exactly the same happened to me. I ended up with a double mastectomy 3 weeks later. I then underwent another six and a half months of chemo and 25 sessions of rafiotherapy as I was found to have residual cancer. That was 4 years ago. I chose a flat life with no reconstruction. I am now the proud owner of a remarkable chest tattoo. As I say, there is life after boobs. I too am TNBC. I am sending losds of love and positive energy your way. Take care. Lainey66 xxxx

Hi Snowy I can understand how dissappointed you must feel. Its an awful lot to go through to seemingly have no improvement. It does sound as though the chemo worked somewhat and hopefully it has caught anything outside the main tumour. With luck when that is removed the chances of cancer returning will be close to zero. I hope you have something nice planned for the bank hols to take your mind of this horrible treatment. Good luck with the next stage of treatment xxx
