So I had my last RT treatment today, and wow what a rollercoaster of emotions, but held it together I've got a family who need me, an being a blubbering mess was not going to help....so I've got a couple of follow up appointments, and then yearly mammograms..
Life can now start to get back to normal thanks for all the lovely support and encouragement you ladies are truly amazing xx

Congratulations, you’ve done it! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be back to ‘normal’, you will need some time to heal mentally from what you have just been through. The hardest time for me (apart from waiting for my results) was once treatment had finished and reality of what had just happened started to sink in. Because you look fit and healthy and the cancer is gone people expect you to bounce back to your old self but it’s not quite that straight forward. I had counselling a few months after my treatment which really helped me move on. Almost 2 years on from diagnosis It all seems like a bad dream and I have accepted that there is now a new normal for me. I am so grateful as I know things could have been a lot worse and feel that I am more appreciative of the love and life around me. There are still dark moments mainly caused by health anxiety (which I never had before diagnosis),but they are less frequent now thankfully. Please remember to be kind to yourself, you’ve been through a lot.

I know exactly what your talking about, my health aniexty has been turned up a notch too , I did suffer from it ( mildly) before diagnosis but now I'm at the top of the scale with it, every ache and pain my mind is on overdrive and finding it hard to control, my husband thinks I need a little bit of counciling ,to talk things through get some things off my chest.....I too think it could help x
I’ve also been suffering anxiety since surgery, I’ve found taking a good quality CBD oil has helped, it has also helped my mood, sleep and energy levels. It was recommended by a friend & I honestly don’t think I could manage without it now. None of what we go/have gone through is easy & I find its best to take one day at a time x
My aniexty levels are through the roof, I think every ache and pain has something to do with it all! I struggling a little bit to tell you the truth.x

Hi there, I get my CBD oil from CBD Ethics in Brighton. The two guys who run the shop are very knowledgeable, just explain why you are thinking of taking it, they will explain what type to use & how much. They take orders over the phone on 01273 019197. It should also help with your aches & pains. I’m not sure how old you are but I had joint pains as I’m peri menopause so I take Glucosamine for this that has worked wonders, then the CBD oil just takes away any excess discomfort. Oh How wonderful ....congratulations ...you've done it !!!! so so happy for you ...It is mixed of emotions isn't it ...Just had yearly mammogram and its all clear!!! TIME TO CELEBRATE and live life to the max xxxx

Ah, what a feeling it is when you finish your last RT appointment! I felt like i could beat anything! Cancer included! I have always tried to stay positive, but obviously sometimes it is hard. Life can deal you a load of bad luck, but we have to just cope with it (especially if we are mums to young children). I felt a bit lost for a while after, and even missed the radiotherapy nurses for a few weeks! That's just over a year ago now and I think I am just back to normal (or maybe for the last 2 months). So glad to hear your getting back to normal, it's been 2 weeks since I finished RT, I just feel a bit weird and lost at the moment , an feel anxious all the time, just want to feel ME again x
That's normal, Vgrady76. I still get anxious now. I passed my driving test in March, and when I drive I tend to use the satnav - it makes me feel more secure (except for very local journeys). It will get better. Thank you xx
