You can ring a breast nurse and ask, but I don't think that you have to worry too much as you say it's sore and breast cancer is not painful in itself. Maybe it's something to do with the scar itself. How long ago did you have the operation in that particular area?

Sounds like it's something to do with the scar. It's better, as everyone is also advising you, to have it checked of course. Let us know what the nurses are going to tell you.

I have had a few "scares" finding lumps and bumps. Each time I have gone to my breast nurse and had it checked. I felt I was being an overactive pain.....but they reassured me to always contact them with any worries, they are there to help. In my experience they are amazing.

It is always best to get it checked out.... I had a tender breast a few weeks ago and went ba k to see my oncologist. I had surgery Dec 2014 and ge said it was still knitting together, nerves etc. Get it checked to give you peace of mind

Hi Michele, the first thing I would do is try, although nearly impossible, is no to panic. Make an appointment with your breast clinic (is it possible for you to perhaps see anyone who looked after you previously?) Have a mammogram or ultrasound - whichever is recommended - it might just be fatty tissue. If not, then what you do is head down and push on. You are a powerfully strong woman to have already come through it twice before, setbacks and reoccurring issues are an utter nightmare, I know. But if it is back, IF, remember, you are strong and you must face it head on. Look at diet, and make sure you remember - you may have cancer, it however, does not have you. Good luck hon. I hope it is not cancer. Lainey xx

Get to a doctor ASAP... My breast was sore and I thought cancer didn't hurt!!! Well yes it does ...

Hi Michele. You are clearly worried so go to your GP and get referred to the breast service, you have every reason to want reassurance and at least you will know one way or the other.

You can have some discomfort with breast cancer so don't ignore it.

Good luck, thinking of you. X

All good advice. Try not to be too scared, you have obviously been so strong in the past. My heart goes out to you. I will be thinking of you and praying for you. All good wishes.

Ring your breast care nurse , i have done for much the same thing & she has got me an apt with consultant to check it out, when i originally noticed something wrong it was because of discomfort like my bra was not fitting properly . Got new bras it continued then i niticed if i pushed deep down on my breast ghere was a lump which turned out to be breast cancer. Take care
