Any Good News is Brilliant!

I saw the oncologist on Monday prior to my third dose of chemo ( triple negative BC metastatic) and learned that liver function bloods had almost returned to normal! I was thrilled as I'd hardly dare think about it. Wondering if it's just the chemo, or all the other things I do to help? He's postponing the scan until after the next chemo on the 9th Jan. So, I can chill out and enjoy Christmas. I wish all of you in England all the very best for a Merry Christmas and improved health in 2017. πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„from Australia 🌴🌴🌴❀❀❀❀

You are the same as me. Mine was considered metastatic as it had gone to my lymoh nodes. My liver functions were always up as were the tumor markers in the bloods. I finished treatment in June this year and they see me every three months. I saw them at the begining of this month, and like you bloods and liver normal. It was the chemo making the liver function tests a bit dodgy. But it is the chemo bringing downnthentumor markers. I go to see my oncologist in March (8 days before my tattoo work begins) if all is still as good they will be stretching appointments to every 6 months... yaaayyyy 😁😁😁 All the best Jacbowden Now go and have a fantastic Christmas and here is to a much healthier New Year xxxxxxxx

Thanks for your ongoing encouragement. I had a scan that showed secondary tumours in my liver, after they thought all was clear after surgery ( nothing in lymph nodes). Massive shock. But once I got my head around it and became determined to attack on a holistic front, I really believe it's on the way out! You too have a brilliant Christmas. 😘🌺❀

I tell this story as much as I can- my builder's mother had triple negative which was everywhere. She was in a lot of pain and they thought they were going to lose her. 2 years later and she is alive, well and enjoying life. She still has the cancer but the tumours have either disappeared or shrunk massively. The docs said to her from the outset that there are some targeted drugs that are very effective for triple negative. Unfortunately no-one can predict at this stage whether they will work in every case. In hers it did and the cancer is stable and causing her no problems. Wishing you the very best health and a wonderful Christmas!
