How did your planning visit for radiotherapy go? Did you find the hospital ok ?

Hi Valerie, sorry about the delay in replying. We had a skip delivered yesterday for a good old clear out so it was all hands on deck 🙂 In all fairness I was merely the tea maker and refreshment provider whilst my husband and sons worked like Trojans. All went very well indeed. I have my tattoo dots now and will be starting Radiotherapy on Tuesday the 31st of this month, the same day as my next CMF chemo. I will have to go to Vincents first, then over to Luke's where I will have to book into the lodge, leave my bags etc and I will then be bussed over to St. James's for treatment before being returned to the lodge. Well this is the final sprint to the finish line. Let's hope they manage to clear this blasted cancer this time. Hope all is well with you and thank you for your support xx

Best of luck with it all. it sounds like a lot to do all at the same time but rather than drag it all out for months it'll be over before you know it.. stay strong lady you are an inspiration xxxxxx

Good luck Lainey for the final push! Remember to moisturise after the radio and drink plenty of fluids if you can, I got quite dehydrated when I had mine xx

Hi Valerie, sorry about the delay. I haven't been on here for some time simply because I have been spending time trying to just get my own head together. My prep went really well and radiotherapy started four days ago. It is going well, considering that It is being carried out the same time as my chemo. I am home for the weekend as I stay Monday to Friday in the Lodge in St. Lukes. It is unbelievably peaceful there and I have found that I have been able to relax so amazingly well. More than I have since I was first diagnosed. I drove myself home today and have to admit that I am quite tired this evening. My husband has said that he will be coming to the lodge next week, I hope that he is able to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere there. How are you keeping?
