I am so I'll with worry!

I just had my left breast removed this last July, had 2 other surgeries right after due to complications, Durning the last surgery I stopped breathing while they were operating, due to that I am also an afib (heart problems) and now on blood thinners because I have a blood clot in my lungs, after all this, my oncologist did a bone scan and found something suspicious on the left side of my head and neck area, did exray , and just did MRI, and I am waiting results from that, I scared he is gonna tell me that I have brain cancer, and I thought i was cancer free after my breast surgery. I can't sleep or stop thinking about this and I'm really scared, any one out there understand why I'm scared or am I thinking way to much?

You have every reason and right to be scared, worried and stressed. My heart goes out to you as you have been and still are going through the mill. I strongly recommend that you try meditation. I never really saw what folks got out of it until I needed to sort my own head, heart and fears out. I have found that I am more relaxed, able to handle curve balls, yes I still get upset but that abject fear and worry has reduced hugely. If you can find a class I would strongly recommend that you go. Also contact your local cancer support group who will set you up with a councillor to help you. Sending all my love and best wishes. Thank you so much, I don't think there's a support group in this town, but i will for sure look one up and find out why there's no support group if there isn't one, thanks so much

Are you in Ireland? The Irish Cancer Support Services are fantastic. They are so caring, organise transport to and from chemo if you need it, offer complementary services such as aromatherapy massage, Arr classes, counselling and are just fantastic. I hope wherever you are that you find such support xxx

Hi Dreamergirl, you are normal -who wouldn't react the way you are doing? I did on my diagnosis. As Lainey says there is lots of support available and you've already found Healthunlocked and are sharing with us. There's lots of support out there, much of it accessible by phone. I used Breast Cancer Haven and chatted on the phone to an expert, Breast Cancer Care have a call line weekdays and sat am, online chat line and a mobile phone app called Becca, Macmillan have a free call line weekdays 9-8 and an online chat community - they offer lots of services for us from diagnosis, Penny Brohn have a Helpline weekdays 9-5, If you need links or phone numbers just ask and we'll help.

Dear Dreamer

I was very sad to read your post; you are having the most horrible time. I wish you didn't have to go through yet more worry waiting for the results of the latest tests. Its a perfectly natural response to feel scared. Its such a worrying time for you and I can understand why its impossible to put this awful thing out of your mind. My thoughts are with you and I hope the news is good. Best wishes, hugs and love, Caroline. xxxxx

Thank you so much, hopefully it won't be long now for results, but what to do if it's bad news, I don't know?

When it comes to something like cancer I think we all have some sort of fear. Those of us that have already went to battle I think fear it a bit more. Worrying won't change the outcome. Just makes us sick and keeps us awake. The best we can do is pray and have some faith. I hope you will get good news. The waiting is the worse part.

Good Luck and praying for you 🙏
