11 weeks pregnant, scan advice

Hi Everyone, I saw my midwife at 9 weeks 4 days pregnant and she booked me for my 12 week scan which will be on 24th September taking me to 13 weeks 8 days. I have also received an appointment for another scan on 6th January which will have me at 28 weeks but I have no received anything for a 20 week scan.

I'm really confused, is this normal?

I'm very new to this group so I'm not even sure if this is the correct topic to discuss. Sorry if so.

Hi congratulations on your pregnancy, at your booking in appointment your midwife should have asked you lots of questions to determine your care pathway, so if you have any underlying health issues etc.For me I was 39 and had a high BMI and gestational diabetes on my first pregnancy, so I was classed as higher risk and under consultant led care.

I had my 12 week scan, 20 week scan which was booked by my midwife at 16 weeks and a 28 week scan booked by my consultant team, I then had 3 weekly growth scans till birth.

Perhaps if you're not sure and why they've booked your a 28 week scan, just give your midwife a call or leave a meagre for her to give you a ring to confirm it.
