Is my girlfriend pregnant?

Hello guys, please help because I'm really worried if my girlfriend is pregnant.

We had unprotected sex on 4th of June, a week after her last period(on 28th of May). I had pulled out on time but just to be on the safer side she took emergency contraception 2days later. About 2 weeks later(on 22nd of June) she had heavy bleeding (lasting 3days). Fast forward to 18th of July, we had sex again but this time used condoms.

Now, it has been 49days since that heavy period on 22nd June, she hasn't got her periods yet. She says she has stomach pain and backpain(on and off) for about a week now but still doesn't want to go the doctor. She doesn't have sore boobs or nausea. Whenever I try to bring up if she's pregnant she completely denies it and gets annoyed so have stopped asking altogether.

Please anyone, am I worrying too much?

No one is going to be able to tell you if she's pregnant or not.

Taking emergency contraception can make a woman's cycle unpredictable but the only way to know for sure is to all her to take a pregnancy test.

Doesn't that bleeding after the emergency contraception prove that it worked?

I didn't say that it had or hadn't worked. I said taking emergency contraception makes a cycle unpredictable. If she's had a heavy bleed and now a long time between it could be because of the tablets. It could also be that they didn't work and she's pregnant. If you're not sure she needs to take a test and then you can go from there.

It’s not an abortion pill, heavy bleeding means nothing, all it does is delay ovulation, but if she’s already ovulated it won’t do anything, but no one can tell you if it’s worked or not, she’d need to take a test and go from there

The only thing and best thing is to buy and take a pregnancy test. Make sure you read the results in the time printed in the instructions

I would definitely take a test to be sure. I think it's unlikely in the circumstances but take it for reassurance. It's more likely that the morning after pill has messed up her cycles.

Emergency contraception doesnt always work. I took it once only 17 hours after the accident and I still got pregnant. I think the sooner you take it the more effective it will probably be, 2 days after I'd say there was a very low success rate for it so yes she could very well be pregnant. If she's completely ignoring the subject then wait another week and bring it up again if her period doesn't come. The pill would have delayed her ovulation so her cycle will be slightly delayed too. Good luck!
